Do cell towers belong in the Historic District?

Here are several photos that show what the proposed Smith Communications cell tower may look like from various parts of town. Keep in mind that these are only artist renderings, and may not be exact. The balloon wasn't floated for very long, and it moved with the wind. The new cell tower will be 195 feet tall and will rise more than 120 feet above the existing tree canopy, making it very visible from several historic areas in town.
